Long Island Gun Source LLC (“LIGS,” “we,” “us”) operates ligunsource.com and our store at 2291 Route 112, Medford, NY 11763. Short version: we collect what we need to run the store, we do not sell your information, and you can opt out of marketing at any time.
What we collect
- Contact information — name, email, phone and address when you create an account, place an order, join a rewards program, enter a giveaway or submit a transfer form
- Order information — what you purchased, your payment method (we do not store full card numbers; payments are handled by our payment processor) and your shipping or pickup details
- Firearms transaction records — federal and New York law require records for firearm and ammunition sales, including ATF Form 4473 and New York background checks. These are maintained as the law requires and are separate from your website account.
- Site usage — basic technical data such as pages visited and device type, via cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To process orders, transfers and memberships, and to provide customer service
- To send order and account messages such as receipts, pickup notices and transfer updates
- To send marketing email or text messages if you have opted in — every message includes a way to opt out
- To run loyalty points, memberships and giveaways you have joined
- To comply with federal, state and local law
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
Text messaging and your mobile information. If you opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile number, the date and way you opted in, and your opt-out if you send one. We use that only to send the messages you asked for and to keep a record of your consent. We do not share or sell your mobile information to third parties or affiliates for marketing, lead generation or analytics purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Our text program is for adults 21 and older. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Who we share with. Only what is needed to serve you: our ecommerce and point-of-sale platform provider, our payment processor, our email and text messaging providers, and — where required — government agencies such as background check systems, and other licensed dealers handling your transfer. Each is limited to the purpose of the service it provides.
Your choices
- Marketing — unsubscribe from email using the link in any message, or reply STOP to texts
- Account — review and update your account information at any time
- Access and deletion — email us to request a copy or the deletion of your personal information. Records required by firearms law, including 4473s and bound book records, cannot be deleted; that retention is federally mandated.
Security and retention. We use industry-standard safeguards through our platform and payment providers. We keep business records as long as needed for legal, tax and warranty purposes. Firearms records are retained as federal and New York law require.
10DLC Compliance and Privacy
1. Collection of Personal Information. We collect personal information from users when you voluntarily provide it to us when using our website or services, and when you submit your phone number to receive messages via 10DLC.
2. Use of Personal Information. We use the personal information you provide to provide the requested services, to send you messages via 10DLC as per your request, to comply with legal obligations, and to improve our services and user experience.
3. Privacy and 10DLC. Privacy policies and terms and conditions are displayed next to the phone number entry fields. End user information is protected and not shared or sold to third parties for marketing, lead generation, or analytics purposes. The opt-in and opt-out procedures for 10DLC traffic are clearly outlined in both the call-to-action and the Terms and Conditions. Opt-in and opt-out occur via the 10DLC number, and short code opt-out routes are not used.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information. We do not share or sell end-user information to third parties or affiliates for any marketing, lead generation, or analytics purposes.
Age. This site is intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
