Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Long Island Gun Source LLC (“LIGS”, “we”, “us”) understands that your privacy matters, and we want to be plain about the technologies we use. This Cookie Policy explains how and why cookies, web beacons, pixels, clear gifs and similar technologies (together, “Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies”) may be stored on and read from your device when you visit ligunsource.com or any site or app that links to this Policy (together, “the Sites”). Read it alongside our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.
What cookies and other tracking technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that can be stored on and read from your device when you visit one of our Sites. The other technologies work in a similar way — they place small data files on your device, or monitor activity on the Sites, so we can understand how the Sites are used. This lets our Sites tell your device apart from other visitors’ devices. Everything below about cookies applies to those other technologies too. There is more general background at www.allaboutcookies.org.
How our Sites use them
We use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies to recognize you, remember your preferences, keep the Sites secure, control access to certain content, and process the requests you make of us.
First-party and third-party cookies
- First-party cookies belong to us and are set by us.
- Third-party cookies are set by another company through our Sites. For example, the services that send our email may set cookies to measure whether a message was opened or a link was clicked. How those companies handle information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Session and persistent cookies
- Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. We use them to follow how the Sites are being used during a visit.
- Persistent cookies stay on your device between visits. Among other things, they record that you have accepted this Cookie Policy so the cookie notice stops appearing, and that you have already passed our age verification.
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary / technical. These let us operate the Sites so you can use them as you asked. They let us recognize that you have an account and are signed in, remember what you did earlier in the same visit, keep your cart, complete checkout, and protect the Sites. The site does not work without these.
- Analytical / performance. Used by us or our providers to understand how the Sites are used and how they perform — which pages are visited most, and roughly where visitors come from. If you subscribe to our email or register on the Sites, these may be associated with you. This includes Google Analytics cookies.
- Functionality. These let the Sites behave according to choices you have made, and “remember” you between visits — for example your preferences and display settings.
- Advertising. These collect information about your activity here and on other sites so advertising can be targeted. We may allow providers such as Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to set cookies on the Sites for this purpose. Those companies have their own privacy policies and may use their cookies to show you advertising elsewhere based on your visit here.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long the data is kept
Information collected through the Sites or through cookies is not kept for longer than is necessary for the purposes described above, and in any event not longer than one year.
How to refuse or withdraw consent
If you do not want cookies placed on your device, you can set your browser to reject some or all cookies and to warn you when one is being set. Your browser’s help or settings section explains how; www.allaboutcookies.org covers the common browsers. If you block all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, parts of the Sites — including checkout — will not work.
To remove cookies already stored, delete them in your browser at any time. That on its own will not stop the Sites placing new ones unless you also change the browser setting described above.
For more on advertising cookies and how to opt out, see www.aboutads.info/choices in the United States, or www.youronlinechoices.eu in Europe.
Tracking in our emails
We may collect information about whether you open our emails or click the links in them, using web beacons. A web beacon is a small graphic placed on a page or in an email that, on its own or together with cookies, records how you interacted with that page or message. We use this to judge whether our emails are useful and to improve what we send.
How to refuse web beacons. Set your email program not to load remote images, and avoid clicking links in email messages.
Changes
If we update this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
